SYMPOSIUM PARTICIPATION FEES:
There will be no participation fee for the symposium.Accommodation expenses will be covered by the Women's Commission Presidency of the Education-Bir-Sen/Educators Union. Necessary and detailed information will be provided to participants in the upcoming process.
APPLICATION PROCESS:
Within the framework of the "Family and Media: Global Perspectives in the Digital Age" International Family Symposium, we kindly request that you submit the abstract of your paper with the following criteria:
· Limited to 250-300 words,
· Prepared in one of your preferred languages: Turkish, English, or Arabic,
· In Word.doc format,
· By no later than March 20, 2025, Thursday, at 23:59.

SYMPOSIUM METHOD:
The symposium will feature the presentation of academic papers. In each session, experts in the field will present both theoretical and practical studies. Discussion sessions will allow participants to actively exchange ideas and provide interdisciplinary perspectives.
EXPECTED OUTCOMES OF THE SYMPOSIUM:
At the end of the symposium, a comprehensive knowledge base on the global dynamics between digital media and family relationships is anticipated. Additionally, participants will share experiences from different countries and cultural contexts, providing new perspectives on media usage and family dynamics. These outcomes will lay the foundation for media literacy training programs, family counseling services, and policy recommendations.
Digital media and family relationships hold significant academic and societal importance. This symposium offers an ideal platform to discuss this crucial topic in a global context and share the latest research in the field. The findings obtained from the symposium will contribute to both academic studies and the processes of family counseling and policy development in the area of media and family relationships.
REFERENCES:
The papers presented and the topics discussed in the panels at the symposium will be based on international academic studies conducted in the fields of digital media, family sociology, theology, child development, and media studies. Additionally, global reports and research on media literacy will also be utilized as sources.
PUBLICATION OF RESULTS:
A booklet of abstracts will be published prior to the symposium. The papers presented and the discussions held during the symposium will be published in scientific journals or compiled as a symposium book. This book will include the main findings, recommendations, and discussions of the symposium, reaching both the academic community and other professionals related to media, family policies, and child development.
Digital versions of the publications will be made available as open access on the symposium's website, allowing researchers, academics, and family counselors worldwide to access them. Additionally, there are plans to publish special issues in international academic journals to contribute to research on media and family relationships.
